Helena from Hull in East Yorkshire has been singing for as long as she can remember. Her first claim to fame was singing on Pop Stars the Rivals Extra at the age of seven. Since then she has won numerous competitions and performed at lots of local charity events. More recently Helena won the local Disney My Camp Rock competition and a clip of her performance, "This is me", was featured on the Disney Channel advert. Helena has achieved great success as a regional finalist in Live & Unsigned and Idol 2008.
Helena was invited to the Shepperton Studios to audition for the opportunity to appear as a featured soloist at a large charity event at the 02 Arena London in January 2010, little did she know that there would be hundreds of very talented youngsters from all over the country auditioning, many from some of Londons prestigious stage schools such as Sylvia Youngs and Westend kids, so Helena was highly delighted to hear that she had been chosen to be a featured soloist in the show. Having already performed as a soloist singer at fantastic venues like the Hull City Hall, Hull New Theatre, Leeds Variety Theatre, Blackpool's North Pier and other stages, non could compare to the magnitued of the O2 arena with an audience of over 18,000. Following a further concert at the Echo Arena in Liverpool for the same charity, Helena has been asked if she would like to perform once again for them in February 2011, so that is something for her to look forward to in the New Year.
Recently Helena auditioned to be part of a girlband, and was excited to become part of the trio called Finesse. They have been invited to sing at many charity events around the uk, and have been recording their own songs which Helena is really enjoying, all three are very hard working talented girls, and are all really good friends. Georgina Hill-Brown who is their manager, singing teacher and mentor has big plans for the girls in the future.
Helena is now also performing as a solo singer under the management of Georgina, and they are both looking forward to working together on new material and the exciting opportunities it will bring.
